As the chief elections officer for the state of Mississippi, Michael Watson is focused on delivering clean elections for Mississippi voters—and confidence in the election process. Turning that idea into action means funding for cybersecurity at the local level, post-election audits (an idea supported by Hillary Clinton and John Podesta prior to 2016), and even a full re-write of election codes to close the loopholes that allowed for ballot harvesting.
