Missouri’s Leaders Talk About The Value of Work

The Foundation for Government Accountability asked Missouri legislators about their first experience with work. Whether their first paychecks came from sweeping garages, serving ice cream, or washing cars, all agree that the experience of work instilled at a young age an understanding of responsibility and the value of hard work. Not only does hard work allow a person to support themselves, but it also empowers them to make a difference in the lives of others. In the wake of government lockdowns, the federal government continues to reward not working with high unemployment bonuses.

At FGA, we don’t just talk about changing policy—we make it happen.

By partnering with FGA through a gift, you can create more policy change that returns America to a country where entrepreneurship thrives, personal responsibility is rewarded, and paychecks replace welfare checks.
