Andrew Welhouse

Senior Writer

Government and politics are full of people who know how to talk a big game. FGA, on the other hand, gets real results that make a real difference in real people’s lives. I’m proud to be a part of this team of smart, passionate, and effective people.

About Andrew

Andrew Welhouse is the Senior Writer at the Foundation for Government Accountability. Prior to joining FGA, he was the communications director for Jesse Sullivan for Governor and served in a variety of roles in politics and government including senior staff for two state legislatures and two state parties. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from Marquette University and is currently working toward a graduate degree at the University of Utah.

Andrew first experienced the value of work during college, when he worked as many as five jobs at the same time to pay tuition—including (but not limited to) alumni fundraising, government internships, and concert security. Andrew has ghostwritten for dozens of U.S. senators, governors, members of Congress, Fortune 50 executives, and two Olympic gold medalists.

When he’s not working, Andrew enjoys hiking, baseball, and running. A devoted but long-suffering fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and Miami Dolphins, Andrew lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and daughter.
