About Betty

Betty Neighbors is a successful entrepreneur and recognized advocate for free enterprise at both the state and national level.

In 1983, she founded TERRA Staffing Group in Everett, Washington, and since has helped it grow into one of the largest and most respected staffing companies in the Pacific Northwest. TERRA now spans eight branch offices in three states and last year (2014) put more than 6,000 people to work in new jobs. Six times it earned the designation of “Best Company to Work for in Washington” and many other similar honors.

Along the way, Betty has been a strong voice for entrepreneurs in community and political organizations. She has served as president of Snohomish County Human Resources Association and was founding member and president of Staffing Association of Washington. She was named “Industry Leader of the Year” by National Independent Staffing Association and was named a “Small Business Champion” for the western region of National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).

Betty has served as chair of NFIB’s Washington State Leadership Council and currently serves on the national board of directors for NFIB.
