The Promising Pathway Act gives patients hope for a brighter future
The Slivka family welcomed their daughter Ayla in 2015. In July of 2016, Ayla was diagnosed with a life-threatening cancer. She has undergone radiation treatments and clinical trials with no success. She and her family need options and they don’t have the luxury of time.
With Ayla’s diagnosis, she doesn’t have time to wait for bureaucratic processes to clear experimental treatments for trials. Her condition worsens overnight. The Promising Pathway Act (PPA) would eliminate some of the bureaucratic red tape, give Ayla access to treatment options, and bring hope to Ayla and her family that she’ll have the chance to grow up to be the scientist she dreams of being.
