TN Speaker Sexton: Work creates opportunity

Tennessee Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton remembers working multiple jobs throughout high school and college. It taught him work ethic, time commitment, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with earning a paycheck. He speaks here on the power of giving an individual the opportunity to pursue a better life by incentivizing work.

Sexton explains the importance of incentivizing work and how his state took steps to do so even amidst pandemic lockdowns. Tennessee was one of the first states to end the federal unemployment bonus and reinstate work search requirements.
