Gov. Mike Braun on how merit, excellence, and innovation replaced DEI in Indiana

DEI became outcome-driven by bureaucrats, where the rules got so confusing that no one was really happy. Here [in Indiana], it’s going to be based on who is the best at what needs to be done, with everyone having equal opportunity to make their case.

DEI—or diversity, equity, and inclusion— is a politically charged, discriminatory practice that fails to achieve the diverse and inclusive environments it purports to increase. In this video, Indiana Governor Mike Braun explains that merit, excellence, and innovation are going to be the standards his state operates on, and how doing so will help ensure everyone has that equal opportunity.
