Maine has led the way in welfare reforms, setting a precedent for reforms across the nation and at the federal level, and has experienced incredible success as a result. At the 2016 FGA Solutions Summit, Gov. LePage spoke with FGA President and CEO Tarren Bragdon about the success Maine has seen as a result of implementing welfare reforms—and why eliminating the trap of dependency is the first step towards a more prosperous future.
