Setting Suitable Benefit Amounts

Unemployment benefits should not replace a paycheck or pay people more to stay home than to work. Federal policies during the pandemic—coupled with regular state benefits—did just that. FGA promotes reasonable, temporary benefit amounts as a cushion to help people get back on their feet and return to work as quickly as possible.
