400,000 children languish in foster care across the country. 70 percent are there because of neglect. When crisis strikes at home, many of us turn to our family or church for support. But for too many parents, that safety net isn’t there—and life can spiral out of control. Addiction, domestic abuse, incarceration, illness, unemployment, homelessness; it’s during these crises that kids are at risk as their parents struggle.
In 2015, following a successful partnership with Safe Families for Children, FGA’s President and CEO Tarren Bragdon launched FlourishNow, a private sister charity focused on building work, marriage, and the family by equipping and supporting people to overcome poverty, life crises, and dependency to achieve success and stability. The project was so successful that two FGA staff members, Andrew Brown and Kristina Ribali, transitioned full time to FlourishNow in 2016 and are now serving as FlourishNow’s Executive Vice President and Vice President of Strategic Outreach, respectively.
