This year, the governor and lawmakers delivered on the promise of a government that works for the people, championing popular, commonsense reforms that will improve lives across the Mountain State.
Passing a Comprehensive Election Integrity Agenda
- SB 486: Prohibiting non-citizen voting
- SB 487: Cleaning the voter rolls
- SB 490: Banning ranked choice voting
- HB 3016: Requiring photo ID to vote
Kicking off the MAHA Movement
- HB 2354: Banning certain food dyes
- West Virginia hosted Secretary Kennedy for a ‘MAHA Starts Here’ event during which Governor Morrisey pledged food stamp reforms to enforce work requirements and ban soda purchases.
Supporting Businesses and Economic Growth
- SB 427: Permitting certain teenagers to work without obtaining a work permit
- HB 2451: Permitting home-based business creation
Pushing Back on DEI
- SB 474: Banning state DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) initiatives
