Governor Morrisey sat down with FGA to discuss how MAHA reforms are driving change in West Virginia and beyond.
NAPLES, FL—This month, at an event hosted by the Foundation for Government Accountability, Governor Patrick Morrisey of West Virginia sat down for an in-depth discussion, sharing his vision for the Make America Health Again (MAHA) movement. Governor Morrisey discussed how states can follow West Virginia’s lead in saving taxpayer money and improving public health.
“Strong leaders like Governor Morrisey are proving how MAHA ideas can deliver real change. Right now, taxpayers are subsidizing a health crisis. Billions of food stamp dollars are spent on junk food every year, even though the program was designed to close nutritional gaps for the truly needy,” said Emma Garelick, State Government Affairs Director at the Foundation for Government Accountability. “Under leadership like Governor Morrisey’s, states are now taking bold steps to restore integrity to food stamps and finally Make America Healthy Again.”
