Naples, FL—States are reaffirming their commitment to a revitalized economy and thriving workforce by ending participation in the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation weekly $300 supplemental benefit.
As of today, 44 percent of states have ended their participation. The Foundation of Government Accountability (FGA) applauds the 22 states that have chosen to empower their workforce after overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.
“America works when people work. We got through COVID because of hardworking Americans and our health care heroes,” said Tarren Bragdon, CEO of FGA. “Now 22 states have said they will ensure work pays more than being unemployed by ending the federal $300 weekly bonus and other federal expansions and expansions of unemployment. These states will be stronger than before thanks to these governors leading and rewarding work.”
