Trump Administration Approves Arizona’s Medicaid Waiver

Naples, FL – The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) congratulates the state of Arizona and Governor Doug Ducey on the approval of the amendment to its Medicaid waiver.

Today, the Trump Administration approved Arizona’s request to add a work requirement to its Medicaid program. In total, 16 states have requested the waiver, aiming to incentivize certain adults to participate in activities like job training, community service, and employment.

“Through its new Medicaid waiver, Arizona is empowering citizens to experience the transformational power of work,” said Tarren Bragdon, CEO and President of FGA. “Participating in work, job training, or community service is key to helping individuals reclaim their independence and break the devastating cycle of dependency, all while preserving resources for the truly needy.”
