FGA Applauds Measures to Protect Welfare for the Most Needy in the President’s Budget

Naples, FL — After the White House released its budget for the 2021 fiscal year, the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) offered the following statement:

“The President’s budget is a major step forward in fixing America’s broken welfare programs. This budget would help move millions of able-bodied adults from welfare to work, taking advantage of today’s booming economy and putting them on the path out of dependency,” said Robin Walker, senior director of federal affairs at FGA. “The budget also contains important reforms to crack down on waste, fraud, and abuse in welfare programs, ensuring these programs are protected for the truly needy.”
