I want everyone to have the opportunity to create a better life for themselves and their families. FGA is one of the rare organizations that has found the balance of advocating for commonsense policies while also remembering the dignity of the people who inspired them.
Mikayla DeMasi is the managing editor at the Foundation for Government Accountability, where she provides writing support and oversees editing for all internal and external policy needs.
Prior to joining FGA, Mikayla spent nearly a decade as a communications aide in the U.S. House of Representatives. Her roles included senior content manager for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA) and the House Republican Conference, communications director for Rep. Bob Latta (OH), deputy communications director for Rep. Tom Emmer (MN), and press secretary for Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Washington.
Mikayla first experienced the power of work as a CYO camp counselor, and her work now is driven by her desire to give a voice to those who have lost their way or are underserved. She is a firm believer in the grounding and sense of community that work provides for everyone.
A fan of any team in Seattle or Minnesota, Mikayla currently resides in Northern Virginia.
