Jamie Barker

Research Fellow

FGA uses expert research methods and messaging to create policies that truly impact people’s lives.

Jamie Barker is a research fellow at the Foundation for Government Accountability.

Prior to joining FGA, Jamie was the owner of Fairway Strategies and served as communications director for the Asa Hutchinson for Governor campaign. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Ouachita Baptist University.

Jamie first experienced the value of work as a campaign staff member for Tom Cotton’s congressional campaign in 2012. To him, work gives people a feeling of self-worth, strengthens values that are worth passing on to the next generation, and allows all of us to contribute to the American dream. He’s appeared on several television and conservative radio programs throughout Arkansas, including KARK and KATV.

Outside of work, Jamie is involved in foster care in his home state. A foster parent himself, Jamie is involved with an organization called The Call, which helps recruit, train, and support quality foster parents to help Arkansas’s foster youth thrive.

A fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and a passionate golfer, Jamie lives with his wife and four children in Little Rock, Arkansas.
