Whitney Munro

Vice President of Communications

At FGA, we don’t just talk about big ideas and wax poetic about the potential of a utopian free-market society. We put strategic plans in motion for policymakers in states and D.C. to pass innovative and meaningful policy reforms that impact millions of Americans. We hire experts to be the best at what they do which makes FGA a great place to work.

Whitney Munro is the vice president of communications at the Foundation for Government Accountability, where she leads FGA’s communications team to ensure that FGA’s brand and messages are strong and engaging.

Prior to joining FGA, Whitney served as the vice president of communications at the Bill of Rights Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Public Administration.

Whitney first experienced the value of work as a gymnastics and cheerleading coach for kids. An Air Force brat, she grew up accompanying her dad around the world and to his second job as a night cleaner, where she developed an understanding that work is a blessing. Her desire to improve education and increase individuals’ opportunities for success fuels her work at FGA. Whitney has testified on education reform issues, and her commentary has earned coverage from Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, NBC Nightly News, the Blaze, Townhall, and the Washington Examiner, among other media outlets.

Whitney and her husband love to travel and can often be found in the kitchen trying out gourmet recipes and wine. A fan of the Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, San Antonio Spurs, and New York Giants, Whitney and her family live in Coppell, Texas.
