Kristina Rasmussen is the vice president of federal affairs at the Foundation for Government Accountability.

Prior to joining FGA, Kristina served as chief of staff for Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner and as president and chief operating officer at the Illinois Policy Institute. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Randolph-Macon College and a Master of Arts in Political Management from The George Washington University.

Kristina first experienced the value of work as a YMCA camp counselor, but she grew up watching her parents work hard to support their family. She quickly realized that work is the power to live the American Dream, one of the greatest gifts given to mankind. Her work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, National Review Online, the Hill, the New York Post, U.S. News & World Report, the Washington Examiner, Investor’s Business Daily, Crain’s Chicago Business, and the Chicago Tribune. She has also appeared on Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, and C-Span.

Kristina enjoys quilting and riding horses, and lives with her family in Richmond, Virginia.
