Andrew Brown is a visiting fellow at the Foundation for Government Accountability, with a focus on community-based alternatives to government welfare.
He is also the Executive Director for FlourishNow, a sister nonprofit organization that focuses on directly ministering to the needs of families and children in crisis. Prior to joining FlourishNow, Andrew worked as a Senior Fellow at FGA, with a focus on child welfare policy.
Prior to joining FGA, he served in-house with an international adoption agency in Northern Virginia where he was responsible for legal compliance and risk management. In 2012, Andrew was instrumental in the successful passage of legislation protecting the rights of faith-based adoption and foster care agencies.
Andrew’s work has been published in leading legal journals and on Forbes.com. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, and is a member of the Texas and Virginia bars. Andrew and his wife, Jen, live in Austin, Texas.
