FGA Federal Affairs

Washington said it couldn’t be done. We’re doing it.

FGA’s federal team brings rigorous research, voter polling, and broad coalitions directly to Capitol Hill and the executive branch—turning commonsense conservative reform into enacted law. One mission: a Washington that answers to the people who pay for it.

What We Do

Research is where we start. Enacted law is where we finish.

FGA runs a full federal operation—original research, voter polling, direct engagement on the Hill and at the agencies, and broad coalitions. Every piece of the operation aimed at one outcome: enacted reform.

01Research

Numbers Washington can’t argue with

FGA analysts work federal and state data to expose what’s broken and price the cost of inaction. Congress gets the proof. The press gets the story.

02Polling

Voters were ahead of D.C. all along.

Our Center for Excellence in Polling shows lawmakers exactly where voters stand. FGA’s reforms aren’t just good policy. They’re already winning politics.

03Engagement

An expert resource for the Hill.

FGA meets directly with members and the executive branch to provide research and policy briefings, testifies before committees, and is an expert resource for staff so they have the facts they need to win the policy debate.

04Coalitions

Coalitions Washington can’t ignore

FGA unites state-based partners, policy allies, and on-the-ground experts behind every fight. By the time a bill reaches the floor, the coalition is already in place.

The Federal Agenda

A few of the federal fights we’re winning right now

The federal docket changes by the week. These are some of the reform areas where principled action is changing the country.

01
Welfare Reform

Paychecks beat welfare checks.

Food stamp and Medicaid work requirements. Closed loopholes. A safety net that reaches the truly needy and launches everyone else.

03
Government Accountability

Washington works for taxpayers, or it doesn’t work at all.

Waste cut. Pandemic-era expansions unwound. Federal agencies forced to defend the rules they write.
