President Trump’s inauguration was a big day for America.
Not even 24 hours after returning to the Oval Office, President Trump took historic action to tackle deregulation, address out-of-control spending, and reduce the bloated number of government personnel.
On Day One, President Trump rescinded 78 executive orders and presidential memoranda. This included instituting a hiring freeze for career bureaucrats, pausing all new and pending regulations, requiring federal employees to return to the workplace, and dismantling programs and hiring practices that implemented radical leftist ideology, such as diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
In one of the biggest turnarounds from his predecessor, President Trump also rescinded Executive Order 14019, or “Bidenbucks.” Bidenbucks was one of the most egregious of former President Biden’s executive overreaches—it essentially turned government agencies into partisan get-out-the-vote centers for the Left. By rescinding this scheme, President Trump is stopping federal resources from being funneled to left-wing voter mobilization efforts, reinforcing state sovereignty over election procedures, and ending backdoor coordination between federal agencies and activist non-profits.
Not bad for a day’s work!
In the days that followed, the president also took significant action on the border, innovation, and making the government more transparent.
President Trump received a mandate from the American people to reform the way Washington works and get America back on track—and he’s delivering. These wins, as well as the hard work of a new Congress, are going to make a massive difference for the United States.
