America Under Trump: Making Eggs Affordable Again

The Left would like the American people to think that egg prices are continuing to climb and it’s all because of President Trump.

The reality is: President Trump has reversed course and has put our economy back on track for growth. Since the inauguration, egg prices have dropped by 25 percent to an average price of $4.90 per dozen as of March 13.

The media hysteria and Democrats’ claims to the contrary are both incorrect and a sad attempt at distracting from the failures of the previous four years.

So, how did we get here?

When President Biden took office, eggs were only $0.82 per dozen on average. When he left? An alarming $6.55. In some places, like California, prices surpassed $10

President Biden’s USDA recorded the deaths of more than 100 million chickens in his final years in office, which has led to a shortage. But the skyrocketing increase in the cost of groceries started long before the Great Biden Poultry Slaughter of 2024.

Under Biden’s presidency, bureaucrats spent with reckless abandon, adding more than $1.8 trillion in new costs on the economy—nearly four times what President Obama’s first term regulations cost. This out-of-control spending led to rising inflation and a worker shortage

During Biden’s first and only term, prices across the board increased by roughly 19 percent, with the average family of four paying an additional $17,080 per year to purchase the same goods and services as in January 2021. Biden’s unilateral, unlawful increase of food stamp spending alone contributed to an at least 15 percent increase in grocery prices. And between December 2019 and March 2023, food prices grew by a staggering 23 to 24 percent.

The damage from the Biden years has been done—and it won’t be easy to provide relief. But by prioritizing work over welfare, reducing spending, cutting taxes, and draining the swamp, President Trump has our country heading in the right direction once more.
