Amanda Prater is the state government affairs manager for Florida.
Prior to joining FGA, Amanda served as a political consultant for Cooperative Strategies. She was also previously the chief of staff for the Florida Department of Children and Families. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Central Florida.
Amanda first experienced the value of work as a store clerk at her aunt’s clothing consignment store. To her, work is a way to achieve personal and professional goals while building confidence and keep life moving in a positive direction.
In addition to the work on welfare, workforce, and health care reform she does through FGA, Amanda is passionate about child welfare issues and improving the lives and outcomes of children in the system.
A fan of the Atlanta Braves, Orlando Magic, and all UCF sports teams, Amanda lives in Tallahassee, Florida with her family.Download Bio
