Michigan voters support work requirements for childless adults on food stamps.
Automated telephone interviews were conducted with 579 likely Michigan voters in September 2016. Respondents were asked their thoughts on work requirements for welfare benefits. Findings concluded that voters want statewide work requirements and will support reformer policymakers. Once they learned more, their support increased by seven points.
